CORTEN B Steel
CORTEN B, also known as ASTM A588 Grade B, is a weathering steel with improved atmospheric corrosion resistance over regular carbon steel. Unlike CORTEN A, which is used mainly in architectural applications, CORTEN B is ideal for structural use where higher tensile strength is required. It forms a stable rust-like protective surface when exposed to the atmosphere, reducing maintenance and extending the life of the structure.
