WORK HARDENING STEEL

Work Hardening Steel Plates – Strength That Increases Under Pressure

Conquest Steel & Alloys is a well-known producer and supplier of Work Hardening Steel Plates that work in high-impact and wear situations. These plates are made using a special characteristic—their surface hardness will increase upon exposure to water wear or impact. This characteristic will lead to a longer service life, lower replacement rates, and greater efficiency in operation.

Mostly produced with high content of manganese (such as 11-14%), work hardening steel plates begin with fairly low hardness levels (180-220 BHN) and can rise up to 500 BHN or more under usage. They are thus best suited for harsh wear applications in earthmoving, mining, power generation, construction, and steel processing industries.

Benefits of Work Hardening Steel Plates:

  • Excellent wear and impact resistance
  • Work-hardenable to high surface hardness
  • High shock absorption and toughness
  • Non-magnetic and corrosion-resistant
  • Excellent weldability and machinability

Conquest Steel & Alloys keeps in stock a wide variety of work hardening steel plates including MN13, X120Mn12, and other manganese steel grades designed to meet different industrial needs.
