The distinguishing characteristic of these plates is their capacity to raise surface hardness to 500 BHN through repeated impact or abrasion. They are initially soft and ductile (~200 BHN), but they develop strength quickly with service, which makes them the perfect choice for harsh applications in mining, construction, and railroads.
